5.3 HV Card (SHVC)
On each aerogel module we are fixing two HV cards (one on each end of the module) distributing 800 Volts to each of the 16 PMT's of the module. One card supports a DC-DC HV unit (MHV 12-1.5 K, Bellnix), two cards are used for redundancy. The cards receive a DC level command (Vref) in order to adjust the voltage on the PMT's. The same voltage is set to all PMT's on the same module. Therefore, the photomultipliers will be sorted out by voltage and gain and will be grouped to be on the same module. Figure B-4 in Appendix B shows the design of the SHVC cards.
