Minute of meeting, Geneva-CERN, 6/5/2002 A. Woering (NLR) M. Molina (CGS) CC: J. Burger SUBJECT: AMS02 Thermal Control System AIV NLR will start ASAP (in about a week) to circulate a requirement verification matrix throught the main responsibles of thermal acivities (OXFORD/LMSO for the magnet, MIT/NSPO/CGS for the crates, CGS for ECAL/RICH and TOF, LMSO for USS02 and vacuum case, NIKHEF for Tracker, OHB-system For TRD) in order to collect main requirements AT SUBDETECTOR LEVEL. This will be done with the support of J. Burger. In order to accelerate the process of collecting the data, a number (5, for example) of requirements is pre-filled in the matrix or each subdetector. The complete form is filled afterwards, on the basis of subdetector input, using EFFECTIVE ways of communication (email + dedicated telephone calls). It is assumed that the complete process of subdetectors-level requirement collection can be completed by end of May. End of May NLR will issue a very short (half a page) status report on the quantity and quality of information retrieved. In case of poor results, countermeasures will be taken (meetings...). In a couple of week from when the data have been collected, NLR will issue a 'Thermal control system Requirements and verification strategy' document , containing ALL the requirements that cannot be verified at subsystem level, and any additional requirement generated by the integration activity. At the latest the document will be issued end of June with an accordingly updated version of the "Thermal Vacuum test plan". It is preferred to have two separate documents ("Thermal Vacuum test plan" AND "Thermal control system Requirements and verification strategy"), instead of one, due to their different goal and target.
